According to an NBA source, recently retired head coach Phil Jackson said that if the opportunity presented itself, he could be persuaded to return as the head coach of the Bulls for the remainder of the playoffs.
“If someone approached him and really, really wanted him to return to the Bulls to coach the NBA’s Most Valuable Player in Derrick Rose for a chance to win another title and retire a champion, then he would think about it,” the source said.
The source said that health problems will likely factor into his decision since Jackson is not sure he would be able to brave the final eight months of the NBA playoffs on a bad leg.
